Yes, the day that James and I are starting our live together is nearly there (and we came a long way). We are counting the hours (56) until we will be together again.
The last weeks/days were crazy for both of us. Well honesty commands that I should stress that the time was more crazy for James then for me. My task was only to make some room for his stuff and giving some moral support to my great partner. He on the other hand he had to quit his job, having issues with the place he wants to work for here in The Netherlands, end the lease of his house, selling some big things, packing all his stuff or getting rid of stuff he didn't want to keep. Last week he even had to tear down an entire wall in his house (to get it back in the original state). This week had had to drive to his parents in two days, unload the truck and getting some paperwork done there.
In the end everything payed off. He got everything done and he's got his job offer. Right now he has his farewell party at his parent's house. Monday he will fly to Amsterdam, where I will get him on Tuesday morning .... and our life together will start. James, I hope I can live up to your expectations!
After the paperwork here (all the appointment are already made), we'll start our life with a short vacation in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany.
Those who have been on vacation in Austria might know Almdudler. It is a delicious lemonade made out of herbs. (For their official website click here.) Of course you can not get it outside of Austria :-( and especially not here in The Netherlands. Though tonight I found a good alternative: Mix a little bit of Amaro (Sicilian herbs liquor) with clear lemonade (Sprite) . Of course the result is not the real stuff, but it reminds me of Almdudler, especially since I hadn't had some in quite a long time.
